What to do in Santiago in June
The Compostela summer properly begins, with long evenings and the year's best terrace weather.

June starts the Compostela summer, with evenings that stretch well past ten and the terraces of the centre working at full tilt. The big date is O Son do Camiño, the city's most important music festival, on Monte do Gozo — the same spot where pilgrims on the French Way first catch sight of the cathedral towers. It runs three days, and the 2026 edition brought Linkin Park, Katy Perry, The Chemical Brothers, Bad Bunny and Liam Gallagher, with a three-day pass from 59 €; the 2027 dates and line-up are usually announced between January and March.
If you are coming for the festival, book accommodation months ahead: the city fills up. Outside those dates, June remains a rewarding month for the Camino, with settled weather and still without July and August's full house.

Things to do in June
- O Son do Camiño on Monte do Gozo, one of the big festivals on the Spanish calendar
- The Camino is still rewarding weather-wise, though you start to notice more people
- The Alameda viewpoints at dusk, with light until well past ten
- Terraces and tapas through the old town, with the good weather settled in
June is also one of the recommended months to walk the Camino de Santiago: a good balance between weather and how many pilgrims are on the road.
